Out of the 37 works authored by Sri Madhwacharya this glorious work Yamaka Bharatham is one. Here word by word meaning for each verse is given by following the commentary of great Sri Yadavacharya.
One important point has been made in respect of Lord Sri Krishna being called as Vaasudeva. Usually the reason given is that he is called as Vaasudeva because he is the son of Vasudeva and Devaki. But the name Vaasudeva is applicable to Paramaatma from the beginning, long before Vasudeva and Devaki came into existence. Hence Srimad Aacharya says Paramaata is called as Vaasudeva because he initially bestowed knowledge to Chaturmuka brahma and in Sanskrit Vam means knowledge (gyana) and Su means complete (poorna) and Paramaatma gives full knowledge to Chaturmukha Brahma and hence he is called Vaasudeva.
