This is from Skanda Puraana under Reva Khanda. The first chapter consists of 24 verses and the second one 27, the third consists of 51 and the fourth has 44 verses and the 5th, 17 verses. This gives full and complete story relating to Satya Narayana Vratha.

The author has also added the Astohthara 108 naamas of Lord Satyanarayana and the Sabdha (word) Kaala has been explained in a very detailed way in this book.

This book is dedicated to Sri Sankarshana Wodeyaru of Karapoondi Village with his life and the stotra grantas about him and also Astothra of the holy saint.
